Erik is president of EC Design Group, Ltd., an irrigation design and water management resource company. For over 20 years Erik has been actively involved in the golf and commercial irrigation industry. He started out as a golf course superintendent at Willow Creek Golf Club, a 36-hole operation, moving onto irrigation contracting and distribution of golf and commercial irrigation products before finally organizing EC Design Group, Ltd. in 1993.

Having a balance of experience from being a superintendent, involved in irrigation installation and distribution, and servicing of irrigation products gives Erik the wide range of experience needed in today's irrigation design. The net result helps Erik bring together quality irrigation projects by a good channel of communication between not only project Owners but also all parties involved, from the contractor to the suppliers.

Erik enjoys balancing all aspects of the irrigation consulting business by being a certified irrigation designer and staying involved with teaching irrigation design classes at various Universities. His roles also involve educational seminars to golf and commercial irrigation related groups throughout the country along with being published in various industry publications. This commitment to the industry helps Erik keep up with the ever-changing irrigation market.

For over 15 years Lisa has been actively involved in the irrigation industry. Lisa received her degree in Horticulture at Kirkwood College. In 1984 she was introduced to the irrigation design division with both commercial and residential responsibilities while working at a nursery/garden center. Lisa started designing residential/commercial systems for an independent installer in the Quad Cities before moving into a distributor branch coordination position for an irrigation company in Des Moines and Minneapolis.

In house working relationships with suppliers and customers has given Lisa the ability to communicate throughout the entire irrigation project. She keeps current with new irrigation options by actively participating in meetings and manufacturers seminars. Lisa enjoys being involved in irrigation projects, as her passion for the outdoor environment continues.

Larry Collins EC Design Group, Ltd. Larry is a member of the EC Design team based in the Chicago area. Over the last 10 years Larry has been involved in the irrigation and turf industry in many different capacities. He began his career in the irrigation business as an assistant superintendent in charge of 27 holes of irrigation in Charlottesville, Virginia.

After leaving the golf course, Larry worked in the irrigation distributor business in service and sales roles. From there he was hired as a field training manager for an irrigation manufacturing company and was involved in training superintendents all over the world in irrigation control software. After 3 years of being a trainer, he returned to irrigation distribution in the Chicago area.

Through the different roles Larry has had in the irrigation business he is able to more completely understand what is in involved in the irrigation consulting business.
